Right now, on Radio 4, there is a panel show where the celebrity contestants must determine if each other's statements are truth or lies. David Mitchell is on it.
Lee Mack is also on it.
It is a totally original concept.

Actually, this show predates Would I Lie To You?, and so in fact is (at least relatively) original.
Exactly. I'll be expecting a rant about The News Quiz later.
You have a very low "rant" threshold. That was barely a comment.
But I first heard of this show yesterday evening and the similarities were too uncanny to go unmentioned. Say what you like about The News Quiz, but I've yet to hear an episode with Ian Hislop and Paul Merton on it.
And I'm not complaining -- both shows are great and Would I Lie To You was never exactly original to begin with. I'd rather see a great show than an original one. It just amuses me that the first time I heard the radio show it had Lee Mack on it, making it even more indistinguishable than it was already.
